Shaver wins at Cherokee

Steve Shaver has been on a tear in 2011 winning numerous events thus far, having what most would call a "Banner Year". The North Carolina based Rumley Motorsports team headed to Cherokee Speedway for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event, the Series' only visit to the State of South Carolina. It was Shaver yet again at the front of the field when the checkered flag fell on the 50 lap event, granting the team yet another $10,000 check to add to their wall full of "Banners" The main event saw dominance from Regional sensations like Chris Ferguson and Jonathan Davenport, However as the race wore on so did their tires, both had to find their way to the pit area with right rear flat tires, taking them out of contention. That left the lead to Steve Shaver to hold off a hard charging Ray Cook. One of the highlights of the night was that of Scott Bloomquist flipping in turns 3 and 4, an event that has only happened in the veterans career just one other time before. That video is in the Exclusives Video Section right here on Dixie Dirt TV. Also on video is Heat Race 1-4 and all 50 laps of the main event if you missed the action. Only on DixieDirtTV.com .
