On Friday, April 4, 2008, Steven Howard headed to Screven Motor Speedway where he again faced tough competition with the Lucas Oil Dirtcar Series.  Fifty-two cars battled for entry into the $10,000-to-win feature event.  Howard qualified 47th at Screven Motor Speedway and fought hard through heat races and consolation races to gain entry into the 24-car starting field, but was unable to earn entry into the show.

Both of these events were packed with heavy competition and national touring competitors, which made it difficult to earn entry into the events.  Howard has tentative plans to head to Toccoa Speedway on Saturday, April 12, 2008 for the $5,000-to-win O'Reilly Southern All Stars event.  Toccoa Speedway is located in Toccoa, GA and is a points event for the O'Reilly Southern All Stars touring series.
